It's hard to believe it's been almost a week since we started back to school! While everyone is adjusting to their new routines enjoy some photos to enjoy the first day of school fun!
Avon and Avon Lake are meeting up on the football field in Avon on Sept. 8th, but the competition is fierce for charity as well. The two communities will be collecting food for CRS and the community with the heaviest truck gets a trophy. Avon and Avon Lake trucks will be at Avon's stadium at 6 pm. Also, look for drop off locations throughout Avon and Avon Lake.

Summer Reading Challenge Is Coming Up! The Summer Reading Challenge Assembly is Friday, September 8 at 9 a.m. If your child participated in the Challenge, please send the tally form to the teacher no later than SEPT. 5. If you have misplaced the form, send a note including: your child’s name and teacher, the number of minutes read each week (starting the week of June 4 through the week of August 13), and your signature. Please turn in a form for your student even if you did not keep meticulous track of their minutes; as long as you know they read the minimum for their grade, you can submit a form. We are looking forward to recognizing your readers at the assembly. Community Build Update:
The Community Build is scheduled for Friday, August 4th and Saturday, August 5th. Both days are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM and lunch will be served. We will send out an update Thursday night as to whether the community build for Friday will be a go or if it will be postponed until Saturday 8/5 and Sunday 8/6. Volunteers, pllease read below what you will need to bring:
