I hope your summer break was relaxing and you were able to spend some time with family and friends. I want to take a moment and welcome everyone back to the 2018-2019 school year. I am excited and eager to start another school year at Eastview. As I reflected on all the great things we accomplished last school year, it really got me excited to be back at school. The teachers have been in the building preparing their rooms and we are very excited for the arrival of the students.
I think a very important component of any successful school is effective communication. As parents, I want you to be aware of what is going on in the building. My goal will be to send you a quick email update for the upcoming week on Friday. Please understand that this may vary occasionally though, depending on things that we have going on in the building. I will also share important information on Twitter. You can follow me at @jamiefranko11.
We will be having our Back to School Ice Cream Social, sponsored by the PTA on Sunday, August 19th from 3:30-5:00 pm behind the school. It is a great event to start the school year. I am sorry to say that I will not be able to attend that afternoon due to a family obligation but I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at Open House the following evening.
Infosnap-Please make sure that you have completed your child’s information on InfoSnap, which has all of our back to school forms. These forms are extremely important so that we can get in contact with parents or guardians in case of an emergency. This this needs to be completed prior to school starting in order for your child to participate in extra-curricular activities at the school throughout the year.
Fees-Reminder that all school fees are do at the beginning of the school year. Fees can be paid at Open House with a check made out to Eastview Elementary or pay online through the PayForIt link on our website.
Bus Schedule-The schedule is posted on the Avon Lake City Schools website.
Souper Bowl 2018

· According to CRS, the items most needed are peanut butter, cereal, canned meats & fruits, and paper products (and remember, peanut butter weighs more than cereal!)
· Monetary contributions are also gladly accepted – each $1.00 contributed will be counted as 5 pounds of food!]
Handbook-Elementary handbook is on the district website. This will provide you with all the important details of the school dostrict and buildings.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone at the start of the year. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call, email or stop by.
