Fitness trail project is underway- they have begun gathering information about equipment and are now considering bringing in special vendors to assess the scope of work; if they decide to contract it out.
One School, One Book- still doing it, but no updates. It won’t happen until late winter, early spring.
The District will do a SWOT analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) to reflect on these four categories. The four elementary principals constructed a SWOT in their own group. It was an enriching, open and honest session. We want to include parents in the process; want to be sure what we are doing is meeting the needs of our students and families. Our staff will do it for the next couple of months, and then the family component will be added. Every school building will participate. At then end, all of the SWOTs will be merged to assess what the District looks like as a whole. This will guide the strategic plan for the coming years.
When you get to Troy and above, students will also be part of the conversation.
There has been an issue with the email list regarding new families-they are working on this.
Homecoming parade was lots of fun- everyone worked hard and the Eastview float looked great.
